What to see in and around Hanoi
Hanoi is the capital, and the Old Quarter is busy. Narrow lanes, shops spilling out, scooters everywhere, street food on every corner. Crossing the road takes some getting used to. That's why we put you on a guided day: you see the main sights without the stress.
Honestly, though, the best reason to stay in Hanoi is what's close by. Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh are both easy trips from the city.

Ha Long Bay: day cruise or overnight?
Most of our Hanoi travel packages include a Ha Long Bay day cruise. It's a long day, but the boats are back by afternoon and you're in Hanoi again for dinner.
The Vietnam Grand Tour gives you a night on board instead. You get sunset and sunrise on the bay, plus time to kayak between the islands. On the Hanoi, Da Nang & Phu Quoc route, the cruise stops at Sung Sot Cave.
One caution. From roughly July to October, storms can push cruises to another day. If that happens, we'll help you rearrange.

Hanoi with Da Nang, or Hanoi with Phu Quoc?
Go for Da Nang if you want more to see. There's the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills and Hoi An's old town glowing with lanterns. Put it together with the north and you have a full, varied week.
Phu Quoc is the better pick if you'd like to rest after Hanoi. It's an island of beaches, speedboat days around the southern islands, the Hon Thom sea cable car and the VinWonders parks. A busy trip ends gently there.

What our Hanoi packages include
They're land packages, so hotels, transfers, tours and the sightseeing in your itinerary are covered. Prices are per adult on twin sharing. The flight from India to Hanoi isn't included, though our team can arrange it on request and quote it separately.
Start whenever you like. Your trip planner confirms the hotels and sends a final quote, and only then do you pay.
Good to know before you go
February to April suits the whole country. If Ha Long Bay is on your list between July and October, leave a little room in the plan in case the cruise has to move.
Indian passport holders need an e-visa, applied for online on the official portal before travel. Allow at least two weeks. We're happy to help you fill in the form.
Vegetarian? Hanoi is manageable with a bit of planning. Look out for "chay" (vegetarian) restaurants, and ask for fish sauce to be left out of local dishes. The city has Indian restaurants too.
Hotels, malls and most restaurants take cards. For markets, street food and the small shops in the Old Quarter, you'll want some Vietnamese Dong in your pocket.
