As soon as your trip is confirmed. You can apply up to six months ahead, and summer appointment slots often fill two to three months out. Your trip should start at least 15 working days after your visa appointment. Your trip planner helps you get an appointment and prepares your checklist, day-wise itinerary and hotel bookings.
What if my visa is refused?
The visa decision rests with the embassy, but we help you send a complete application. If it is refused, our cancellation policy applies, including the cap: cancel before your balance due date and you never lose more than you have paid. Visa fees are not refundable.
Will we travel by coach or train?
Mostly by train, including some of Switzerland's most scenic routes. You carry your own bags on trains, so we suggest one medium suitcase each. Airport transfers are as listed in each package.
Is Europe in winter a good idea?
Yes, if you want snow and Christmas markets, but days are short and cold, and some mountain lifts close for maintenance in November and April. For a first visit, spring or early autumn is easier.
What should we pack for the Alps?
A warm jacket, gloves and sunglasses, even in summer. It can be below freezing at Jungfraujoch and Titlis while Paris is warm. Comfortable walking shoes matter most.
