Why Thailand

Thailand is one of the easiest holidays abroad from India. A short flight brings you to the turquoise bays of Phuket and Krabi, Bangkok's gold temples and night markets, or the slower hills of Chiang Mai. Good value, great food, and plenty for every age.

Phuket or Krabi?

Phuket is livelier, with more beaches, shopping and nightlife. Krabi is calmer, with tall limestone cliffs and quiet bays. Can't choose? Our Thailand Island Hopper gives you three nights in each.

Is Thailand family friendly?

Very. Flights are short, food is easy, and kids love the island boat trips. On our Bangkok and Chiang Mai trip you can add Safari World (optional, at extra cost).

When is the best time for the islands?

November to March. From May to October it is monsoon on the Phuket and Krabi side, and some boat trips may be cancelled because of sea conditions.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend it. Medical care abroad is costly, and island boat trips can be cancelled for bad weather. Your trip planner can suggest suitable cover.

Is vegetarian food easy to find?

Yes. Patong, Ao Nang and Bangkok all have Indian restaurants, and most Thai kitchens will cook without meat or fish sauce if you ask.
