Why Vietnam
Vietnam rewards the curious. Sail between the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, walk the Golden Bridge held up by two giant stone hands, and drift through Hoi An's lantern-lit lanes after dark. The food is fresh and fragrant, and your rupee goes a long way.

Chat on WhatsAppNorth, central or south Vietnam?
For a first trip, pair the north with the centre: Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, then Da Nang and Hoi An. That is the route of our Vietnam Grand Tour. Ho Chi Minh City in the south can be added as a custom trip.
Is an overnight Ha Long cruise worth it?
Yes. Day boats head back by afternoon. On an overnight cruise you see both sunset and sunrise on the bay and kayak among the islands. In storm season, roughly July to October, cruises can be rescheduled; if that happens we help you rearrange.
How do I pay locally?
Cards work in hotels, malls and most restaurants. Carry Vietnamese Dong for markets, street food and small shops. US dollars are easy to exchange on arrival.
Is vegetarian food easy to find?
Yes, with a little planning. Look for "chay" (vegetarian) restaurants, and there are Indian restaurants in Hanoi, Da Nang and Hoi An. Many local dishes use fish sauce, so ask for it to be left out. Cruises offer vegetarian meals on request.
